The Jersey Review — FAQ
About The Jersey Review
What is The Jersey Review?
The Jersey Review is a New Jersey-first digital publication covering the Garden State’s film, music, culture, lifestyle, and local stories, from celebrity and entertainment coverage to beach-town guides, festivals, and community spotlights.
What topics do you cover?
We publish across these main sections (and their sub-categories):
- Front Page: Features, Editorial | In-Depth, Garden State Stories
- Entertainment: Film, Music, Theatre, Celebrity, Topsy-Jersey
- Lifestyle: Events & Festivals, Beaches & Towns, Food & Dining, Fashion, Faith, Local Sports, Business, Jersey Shore, Monmouth County, Ocean County
Is The Jersey Review only about New Jersey?
New Jersey is the anchor. We may reference national stories (especially entertainment and politics) when they connect back to New Jersey people, places, audiences, values, or cultural impact, but we always try to “bring it home” to the Garden State whenever possible.
Where do you publish new posts?
New stories appear on the Front Page, and also in Latest. There’s also a Videos area and rotating “Trending” modules depending on what readers are engaging with.
Reading, Navigation, and Finding Stories
How do I find Film / Music / Jersey Shore stories fast?
Use the top navigation under Entertainment (Film, Music, Theatre, Celebrity, Topsy-Jersey) and Lifestyle (Jersey Shore, Monmouth County, Ocean County, etc.).
Do you have tags?
Yes. Articles can also be organized by tags, which help you find related stories across categories.
Can I search the site?
Yes, there’s a Search function available on tag/archive pages (and commonly site-wide).
Editorial Standards and Corrections
Do you verify facts?
We aim for accuracy and clarity, and we update stories when new, credible information emerges, especially for developing items, event details, and public figures.
How do I request a correction?
If something is off (name spelling, hometown, date, venue details, quote attribution), reach out via the site’s “Connect with us” area and include:
- The article link
- What you believe is incorrect
- A source (official site, press release, public record, or direct contact info)
Do you update articles after publication?
Yes. When a meaningful factual correction is required, we update the post and clean up the record as soon as possible.
Coverage Requests, Tips, and Submissions
Can I pitch a story or send a news tip?
Yes. If you’ve got a Jersey story, breaking news, a local win, a film/music announcement, a community event, or a “you need to see this” moment—send info@thejerseyreview.com:
- Who/what/where/when
- Why it matters to NJ readers
- Links (official pages, tickets, press kit, socials)
- Photos (with permission) if available
Do you accept guest posts?
Sometimes. If it fits our mission and reads like a real publication piece (not an ad), we’ll consider it. Strong guest submissions usually:
- Lead with the Jersey hook
- Avoid salesy language
- Include sources/links for verification
- Offer original reporting, perspective, or expertise
Will you cover my event/festival?
If it’s relevant to NJ culture and our audience, yes—especially in Events & Festivals, Jersey Shore, or county sections.
For best results, send details at least 2–4 weeks ahead (or ASAP for late-breaking events).
Reviews, Ratings, and “Best Of” Guides
Do you review restaurants, venues, films, or shows?
We cover reviews primarily under Entertainment and Lifestyle—especially NJ-connected film/music/theatre and Jersey destinations.
How do your ratings work?
When ratings appear, they’re editorial—not pay-to-play—and reflect the experience, context, and audience fit (ex: family-friendly, date-night, die-hard film fans, etc.).
Can I request a review?
Yes—you can request consideration, but we can’t guarantee coverage. Provide a press invite, screening link, comp details (if relevant), and a clear NJ angle to: info@thejerseyreview.com
Advertising, Sponsorships, and Partnerships
Do you offer advertising?
Yes—your site includes ad placements, and we can build options around:
- Display ads (site placements)
- Sponsored posts (clearly labeled)
- Event spotlights
- Seasonal bundles (Jersey Shore summer, awards season, holiday guides)
What’s the difference between editorial and sponsored content?
Editorial is independently written and selected.
Sponsored is paid placement and will be labeled so readers can tell the difference.
Can local businesses be featured?
Yes, especially under Business, Food & Dining, and location-based categories like Monmouth County and Jersey Shore.
Reprints, Permissions, and Using Your Content
Can I repost your article on my website or social media?
Please don’t repost full articles. The best practice is:
- Share the link
- Quote a short excerpt
- Credit The Jersey Review clearly
Can I use your story as a framed “Featured by The Jersey Review” print?
Yes—this is a great idea for businesses, and we can provide a clean, print-ready feature plaque format (headline + snippet + pull-quote + QR code to the full story) as an official add-on.
